Washington and Oregon have been blessed with some of the most beautiful lakes in the world. There are a number of lakes in Washington and Oregon that many of them are tourist attractions and fishing spots as well.  Let us look at some of the most prominent lakes of the region of Washington and Oregon.  The region of Washington and Oregon is home to several hundreds of lakes.  Some of the prominent lakes in the region include Detroit Lake, Cunningham Falls State Park, Greenbier State Park, Sandy Point State Park, Point Look Out State Park, Lake Anna State Park, Diamond Lake, Dollar Lake, Crescent Lake, Fish Lake, Fourmile Lake, Guild Lake and the Hyatt Reservoir.

Detroit Lake has proved to be one of the most popular recreational reservoirs in the region of Oregon.  It has been a lake of water storage ever since 1953.  You can cool off at these lakes in Oregon to your heart’s content.  There is a recreation area attached to the Cunningham Falls State Park in Oregon where boating, fishing and swimming are allowed.  The park houses wonderful cascading waterfalls too.  A 42-acre man made freshwater lake can be found in the Greenbier State Park, located in the Appalachian Mountains.  Tourists and residents throng the lake and a small beach nearby to enjoy swimming, picnicking, fishing and boating.  The Sandy Point State Park provides opportunities to swim and catch fish in a lake situated in its premises.  Visitors enjoy fishing, boating and swimming in the freshwater lake attached to Point Lookout State Park in Washington.  There is a 13,000-acre lake in the premises of the Lake Anna State Park in Washington.  Residents and tourists camp there to enjoy boating and swimming.  The park houses hiking trails too.
